*Santamma's Inspiring Story*
I gazed upon her, I couldn't help but wonder where she was headed. Was she on her way to the hospital, perhaps? But no, it seemed our assumptions were entirely wrong. With two walking sticks in her hands, she made her way to the classrooms of Centurian University in Andhra Pradesh each day, travelling a staggering 60 kilometers by bus to teach.
And who was this remarkable woman, you ask? None other than Santamma - a true force of nature at the age of 95. She devotedly taught Medical Physics, Radiology, and Anesthesia to eager students, all the while guiding and inspiring them to reach new heights. Under her tutelage, an impressive 17 students had even completed their Doctorates (PhD).
But that was not all - for Santamma was a true polymath, a Renaissance woman in every sense of the word. She had even translated the Bhagwat Gita into both English and Telugu languages, in addition to her extensive research work. Her goal? To make her mark as the oldest Professor in the Guinness Book of World Records - a testament to her unyielding spirit and indomitable will.
Truly, Santamma was an inspiration to us all. She reminded us that no matter our age, with enough determination and tenacity, we too could achieve greatness. So let us take a page out of her book and strive to do something truly remarkable with our lives. My heartiest tributes to this phenomenal lady - Santamma, a true beacon of hope and inspiration.
